Sherry Anshara knows there are people who think she has lost her marbles. She knows there are people who think that what she does is hocus pocus and that there is no way she can help them. And she is certain of one thing: They are right. She believes there is a strong relationship between our physical, emotional and psychological wellness, and that our cells store the memories of our entire life's experiences. She says she facilitates "an integrative healing of the body, mind, soul." And if you disagree, she is not interested in convincing you. "It works for everyone if they are willing. If they are not willing? No." Anshara says that what she does helps people release and heal, their emotional and physical issues. "I help people connect to what is really bothering them. I help people connect to their inner-knowing so they can use it on a practical level," Anshara said. "I am not healing or curing them, but I help them understand how they got the way they are, or why." To accomplish this, Anshara uses the following techniques. • Touch healing in the Aura field. All those, of course, bring people back to what Anshara calls the 'woo-woo' question. On her Web site, she poses the following questions she is sometimes asked about her work: "How do you make me better? Is it woo woo?" She, of course, says it is not. She reports helping a lot of people feel better over the years. We don't endorse people at The Arizona Republic, and only her patients can really tell you if Anshara helps them get better. But over the years it has become clear that there can be a relationship between a person's physical and emotional well-being. Take a look at the following courses offered this year by the University of Arizona's Psychology Department. PSYC 254 - Psychology of Love and Spirituality: Introduction to theory and research on the psychology of love and spirituality, with applications to mental, physical, and spiritual health. PSYC 358 - Psychology of Consciousness: Introduction to theory and research on both normal and altered states of consciousness, from a natural science and cognitive psychology viewpoint. PSYC 484 - Advanced Health Psychology: Current research and theory concerning psychological contributions to health maintenance, illness prevention and treatment, and the organization of health services. Classes like that show the world has inched closer to Anshara over the years. And though she does not need any validation, she is fine with it. "Fifteen years ago, everyone thought I was nuts." - Sherry Anshara Quantum Energy Therapist, Medical Intuitive
